Throughout the next month, we'll be introducing you to the faces behind Cardtorial. Being a small, handmade business means that when you scroll through our feed, open up a package sent from our studio, or email with a customer service question, you’re interacting with one of the six of us. We thought it's high time we introduce ourselves to all you lovely people! Now let's get to know Liz, Cardtorial's in-house Designer!
+ How long have you been at Cardtorial?
Since December 2016.
+ Do you ever have designer’s block, and how do you get out of a creative rut?
Designer's block is always going to happen during a project, but it can always be broken when I take myself out of the house or away from my computer. Change of scenery helps re-focus my thoughts and it usually helps me get out of the creative rut.
+ What’s your all time favorite product you’ve designed for Cardtorial?
It's hard choosing one product, but I'm really excited about the new wine boxes we've been thinking about making [SNEAK PEEK ALERT!]
+ What is your favorite book, movie, and TV show?
Favorite book right now is Neil deGrasse Tyson's Astrophysics for People in a Hurry; favorite movie is My Cousin Vinny; favorite TV show is Fixer Upper on HGTV :)
+ When did you know you loved art?
It started pretty young since I had an Art Therapist as a child, and then around 11th grade in high school, I became really involved with my art department, pretty much doing whatever I could in the painting, photography and ceramic studios.
+ If you weren’t a designer, what would you be doing?
I would probably be an archaeologist.
